
Masie Johnson, LMSW is a Licensed Master Social Worker and is currently receiving supervision toward her clinical license. Masie graduated from Troy University in 2019 with her Master of Social Work degree and began her career working with children and adolescents in an in-patient psychiatric setting. She then transitioned to outpatient community mental health where she worked as a child and adolescent therapist. Additionally, Masie has worked with adults in both mental health and substance use settings. Masie has most recently worked with children and adolescents dealing with issues related to abuse, neglect, and exposure to violence.
In addition to training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Masie has received training in Play Therapy as well as AutPlay, an integrative family play therapy approach to help address the mental health needs of neurodivergent children ages 3-18 (including autistic children, those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, social anxiety, sensory differences, and developmental and physical disabilities.
